Mascara and Murder
A psychological, sociological, and cultural exploration of the violent female offender
Just Cavalli Her
By Roberto Cavalli
Mmmmmm… This perfume smells sooooo yummy; in the bottle, in the air, on my clothes, and on me. However, it was not love at first sniff! At first, I couldn’t help but compare it to wretched, fruity hairspray (like Salon Selectives). Yuck! Fortunately, the yucko factor died down really quickly, and the remaining scent — delicious — is getting better by the minute!
Lots and lots of vanilla, mingled with amber, musk, spicy bergamot, and just enough tobacco to keep things interesting! There are also some fruits and florals at play here, but my opinion would be that this fragrance is decidedly gourmand, which I love.
The plastic (protective?) case is kind of annoying, but as another poster mentioned, it can be disposed of without too-too much effort for those who are so inclined. Maybe it was designed with the intention of being tossed into some teen queen’s overstuffed backpack? Would explain why I was able to pick it up for el cheapo on the Shoppers Drug Mart sale rack! I couldn’t care less if people think it’s kid stuff; a good smell is a good smell, at any age :)

Way to make She-Ra look like a total she-male, Mattel!
My circa. 1980s Princess Adora was much nicer. Jebus, what I wouldn’t give to have her back, complete with her Crystal Castle, and nemesis Catra…
Please excuse this late celebration; I was on vacation (from the Internets) when the verdict came down.
I was quite prepared to have eaten my hat at anything less than guilty across the board.

The Bride: Digitized!
By Kitty LeClaw
This piece is from a while back; originally rendered in acrylic, but the photo I took was so ghastly I decided to digitize it a bit.

This one is from the Way Back Machine; I snapped it for my high school photography class. Typically, I hate most of the art I’ve done in the past when I look back on it, but this one… I don’t know, I guess I still think it’s kinda cool.
As perfume doth remain In the folds where it hath lain, so the thought of you, remaining deeply folded in my brain, will not leave me. All things leave me: you remain.
